Affiliate program terms

Every Buildliy user is automatically enrolled as an affiliate at signup. You can share your link or code immediately. We may suspend an account that violates these terms (see Prohibited activity below) at our discretion.

30% commission on every subscription invoice for each referred customer's first 12 MONTHS of coverage. A monthly invoice consumes one month of that window; an annual invoice consumes all twelve and pays its full commission upfront in one payment. After 12 months of coverage the customer is earned out and no more commissions accrue. Commissions are computed on the subscription's paid amount before any taxes.

Top-up packs, Cloud overage purchases, custom domain purchases, and signup-burst packs do not pay any affiliate commission. The program rewards new subscription signups and the renewals that follow.

When someone clicks your /r/<your-code> link, we set a signed first-party cookie that lasts 60 days. The first paid signup that comes from that browser is attributed to you. If someone enters your referral code on the signup or pricing page instead, the same cookie is set and attribution works the same way. Attribution locks at signup — once a customer is yours, they remain yours.

You cannot refer yourself. We block this both in the database (you cannot create a referral row pointing at your own user id) and via heuristics (same payment method, same email domain, rapid signup velocity). Suspected self-referrals are reversed without payout.

If the customer refunds or disputes a charge, the related commission is reversed immediately. If the commission was already paid out to you, we record a clawback against your account that we recover from the next payout. If your balance goes negative for more than 90 days, we may close your account and write off the deficit.

Commissions land in 'pending' status when an invoice is paid. After 30 days without a refund or dispute, they move to 'approved.' Payouts run on the 1st of each month once your approved balance clears your payout method's minimum — $50 for PayPal cash (verified PayPal email required) or $5 for credits (no verification needed). Below the minimum rolls forward to the next month.

Two options, switchable any time from your dashboard. (1) PayPal cash: provide and verify a PayPal email; $50 minimum; settles 1–3 business days after the monthly batch. (2) Buildliy credits: every $1 of commission converts to 5 credits — exactly twice the credits that cash would buy as top-ups; $5 minimum; lands instantly on payout day with no verification required. Credits are valid for 12 months from grant, the same lifetime as purchased top-ups. We do not support bank wires, Wise, or crypto.

Separate from commissions: when someone you refer pays their first subscription invoice of $10 or more, you AND they each receive 25 bonus credits, once per referred customer. The bonus stacks with your 30% commission, requires no extra setup (same link, same code), and never applies to top-ups or self-referrals. Bonus credits are valid for 12 months. If the qualifying payment is refunded or disputed, the bonus credits are revoked from both sides.

Commissions are your income. You're responsible for declaring them and paying applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. For US-based affiliates who earn $600 or more in a calendar year, we will issue a 1099-NEC in January of the following year.

Don't bid on Buildliy-branded keywords in paid search. Don't run spam, purchased email lists, or unsolicited SMS. Don't post on coupon/deal sites without our explicit approval. Don't make misleading claims about Buildliy's pricing, capabilities, or guarantees. Don't disclose Buildliy's internal pricing strategy or admin pages. Don't impersonate Buildliy staff. Violations result in suspension and may forfeit unpaid commissions.

When you promote Buildliy, you must disclose that your link earns you a commission. The exact disclosure depends on where you're posting (a YouTube video, an X post, a blog) but 'affiliate link' or 'I may earn a commission' is generally sufficient. This is your legal obligation under FTC, ACCC, and similar advertising regulations — we cannot indemnify you for skipping it.

We may update these terms. Material changes (commission rate, duration, payout method) will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email and in your dashboard. Continued use of your affiliate link after a change means you accept the new terms.

You can stop participating any time by closing your Buildliy account or simply not sharing your link. Any approved commissions you've earned before termination are still paid on the next monthly cycle (subject to the $50 minimum). We can terminate your participation if you violate these terms; commissions earned by suspected fraud are forfeited.
